Our Mission

My dream to help girls master self-defense began when I was just 9 years old. Little did I know that stepping into the world of martial arts would not only change my life, but ignite a fire within me that still burns today. For 7 years, I fought through sweat, tears, and countless setbacks, but with each fall, I learned to rise stronger. Earning my black belt in Karate wasn’t just a personal victory—it was a journey of self-discovery that taught me one powerful truth: we don’t have to be afraid in a world that often feels unsafe for women.

Every time I hear about a girl or woman being hurt, it hits me deeply. It makes me ache, knowing that so many of us grow up feeling vulnerable, uncertain, or powerless. But I also realized something—we don’t have to live in fear. We don’t have to wait for someone to protect us. The strength we need is already within us, and with the right training, we can unleash it. Self-defense is more than just fighting back; it’s reclaiming our power, our confidence, and our freedom.

That’s where my passion comes from—the belief that every girl deserves to feel safe, strong, and in control of her own life. This belief gave birth to DFEND. DFEND isn’t just about teaching punches and kicks. It’s about teaching every girl that she is worth defending, that her life and her safety matter. It’s about giving her the tools not just to protect her body, but to protect her heart, her confidence, her voice.

I want every girl to know that she is not alone. That she can stand tall, face the world without fear, and know that she is capable of anything. DFEND is a movement for every girl who has ever felt small, scared, or unsure of her power. Together, we can change that. Together, we can create a world where every girl knows she is strong, she is brave, and she is unstoppable
