Some mornings just don’t begin with sunshine – they begin with energy 🙂
When we arrived at the school, we were greeted with a wave of unmatched excitement.
The girls were bursting with enthusiasm – Laughing, talking, and ready to begin even before we did. Their spirit was infectious.
It was the first time someone had come to teach them self-defense, yet their eagerness to learn was unmatched.
From the very first warm-up, their energy filled the space. Each kick was higher, each shout louder, each move more confident than the last. And between every exercise were those radiant smiles that were pure, unfiltered joy mixed with determination.
Looking at them, I felt something shift inside me. Their energy made me want to give more than my 100%.
It reminded me why I started DFEND — to see girls discover strength not just in their bodies, but in their spirit.
