When I first began DFEND, my vision was simple yet powerful: to help every girl feel confident, safe, and strong in her own skin.
Over time, DFEND grew into something much larger. It grew into a movement that celebrates awareness, respect, and empowerment.
As the Prefect of Internationalism, I see a new horizon for DFEND, one that extends beyond our school walls and even beyond our country.
What if students from different nations could come together to share their stories, learn about each other’s cultures, and explore what empowerment meant in their part of the world?
Imagine a session in which a student from India shares her journey of self-defense, while someone from South Africa or the UK speaks about how they build confidence and equality in their communities. Different voices, one purpose – strength with understanding.
To me, this is where Round Square and DFEND can merge, forming a bridge between the heart and the mind, geared towards a stronger and better world.
Journey Beyond Borders. Is this Possible?
