The Power of Passing it On

My newfound friends are truly amazing. They were bold to begin with, but now they have become even more vocal and confident, knowing exactly how to act in difficult situations. I love practicing self-defense techniques with them. And after the session, we sit and chat for some time.

Recently, one of them shared something truly motivating. She described her background in stick and sword techniques and her role in instructing nearly 100 youth in stick-fighting. She admitted that, at that time, she was unable to answer questions about self-defense without sticks.

But now, after her training in DFEND, she said with a smile that she finally does. She told me she is going to go back and teach all those 100 people the simple, practical self-defense techniques she has learned here. Hearing that made me realize that what we are teaching is something that will last a lifetime. It is spreading, multiplying, and reaching many more lives than we can imagine.
